the DISH on the DOSE
Hey! I'm Jenni and that is my handsome husband, Tony. We are beyond excited and passionate about bringing a health-conscious and love-filled café to our community. We live in Slinger with our four active kiddos and our (even more active) dogs, Willie & Rudy. You'll find our kids' names in the 'Kid' section of the menu, all developed by themselves!
I truly have a true passion for anything involving nutrition and fitness. When I eat better, I feel better, and when I feel better, I AM better (especially at being a wife and mom)! I began juicing in my own kitchen several years ago, where I had been experimenting with the future menu of my life-long dream. Dreams do come true! Accommodating people is my truest passion and now I get to provide fresh & healthy options to YOU ALL in a trendy, convenient, and comfy atmosphere!
the DAILY DOSE is a fast, simple and most importantly, healthy café serving fresh & organic options. We have many gluten-free, non-dairy and vegan options on our diverse and customizable menu. We do not add any sugar, preservatives, pesticides, chemicals or any other additives to our products. To create our cold pressed juices and raw foods, we use organic and pure natural produce. We aim to provide all of the incredible nutrients and micro-nutrients that fresh produce can offer.
We truly cannot wait to serve you and have you leave feeling better than when you first arrived!
WHAT IS COLD-PRESSED JUICE?
By definition, cold-pressed juice is a beverage made by using a hydraulic press to extract juice from fruits and vegetables. Your body not only loves you for drinking it due to the immense nutritional benefits, but it is really refreshing and delicious.
WHAT MAKES THE DAILY DOSE JUICE DIFFERENT?
NOT all juices are made equal! Centrifugal and masticating juice (not the DAILY DOSE kind) are the most common methods of juicing. These methods extract juice from fruit and veggies by using rotating blades. These rotating blades generate HEAT making it possible for oxidation to take place. Once oxygen is introduced to juice, it loses vitamins and nutrients and contains lots of indigestible fiber. Centrifugal and masticating juice also produce a pulpy, foamy product that can be bitter and the juice will start to SEPARATE within minutes. Our Goodnature juicers allow juice to be extracted in its purest form with no oxidation, keeping the vitamins, minerals, proteins, enzymes, and nutrients intact. Goodnature first chops the produce into a mesh filter bag, which is then entirely squeezed/pressed by thousands of pounds of pressure. The end result is a fresh, tasty, juice with maximal benefits. QUALITY IS EVERYTHING!
HOW HEALTHY IS DRINKING JUICE?
Very! The benefits of cold pressed juice are boundless. Whether you are a hardcore fitness junkie, diehard vegan, proud carnivore, or a chill couch potato, you can use cold-pressed juice to improve your overall health. Drinking cold-pressed juice assists your body in detoxification. Your body’s organs are exhausted from trying to keep up and stay on top of the detoxification process. The three main organs that are responsible for detoxing are the liver, kidneys, and skin. When these organs have to work in overdrive, they become stressed and overwhelmed.
Cold-pressed juice can help ease the strain of detoxification on your body. They’re chock full of nutrients that are geared towards fighting toxins and boosting immunity and health. Cold-pressed juice is so potent and instantaneous because it lacks the fibrous pulp of the whole fruits and vegetables. Since the body doesn’t have to break the fiber down in the digestive system before being able to be used, cold-pressed juice is like a lightning bolt to the system. The nutrients immediately enter the body and start getting to work. That’s why when you take a sip of cold pressed juice, you immediately feel a kick of energy.
DO YOU SELL MORE THAN JUST JUICE?
We sure do! We love our juice, but we are also proud to sell superfood smoothies, smoothie bowls, and GF toasts. Ohhhhh...... and Black Rifle Coffee!
